HomePage is managed by its two main directors: Ian Winter is responsible for creative work, site structuring issues and business management, and works primarily from HomePage's office on the Isle of Wight. He oversees all design work on HomePage-produced sites, and day-to-day tasks include the creation of site interfaces, content (including text, imagery, interactive Flash content and streaming video), and underlying site structures, including technical specifications. He also has a strong role in client liaison and developing new business. Ian has been a designer since 1985, working on web sites, advertising, magazines, promotional materials, brand identity and new-media content for a variety of companies in the UK, Europe and USA including The Independent, The Guardian, The Wall Street Journal, Microsoft, Sun, IBM, Novell, Usborne Books, Birmingham Royal Ballet, EMAP, Sonor and Zildjian. He has also worked as a writer and sub-editor on a variety of magazines and as a freelance journalist. He managed to scrape a BSc. (Hons) Computational Science degree from Leeds University in 1985, and has been disappointed ever since that punch-card programming isn't much in demand these days. Matt Frith is responsible for all technical, eCommerce and programming issues, and works primarily from HomePage's office in Bristol. Matt has spent his career developing complete web sites from initial design to customer delivery. This includes programming in ASP, using VBScript, JavaScript, HTML & SQL Programming. He is responsible for implementing eCommerce and payment solutions for customers who wish to process credit-card payments on their sites. Qualified with a B.Eng (Hons) Computers, Management & Electronics from Salford University, Matt's experience includes: Matt spent much of the 1990s working for Hewlett-Packard, first as a researcher for Hewlett-Packard Labs (Europe) in the network services research lab, researching internet security and eCommerce technology, and more recently as an eCommerce consultant for Hewlett-Packard Professional Services, developing the Official World Cup (france98.com) eCommerce site with EDS. This was the busiest site in the world during the France 98 tournament. He used this experience to develop the HP Emporium & BRINX products which now form a major part of HP's outsourced business-to-consumer eCommerce provision. In addition to Matt and Ian, HomePage employs specialists in design, programming and web site marketing on a project-by-project basis, guaranteeing that our clients have a team with relevant experience working on all aspects of their sites.
